What is the kind and pain and ache that the poet feels?




When the poet looks at her mother, She sees a pale, wan and corpse-like face of her mother. She realises that her mother has grown old and is going to die soon, with this realisation she feels a great pain over whelming her,i.e.,the fear of losing her mother and this fear has been haunting her since her childhood.
