Give the author's description of a sal forest. 



The author Rowntree described the sal forest as having the character of English woodland. At the time of Rowntree's stay at the bungalow at Kulsi, there was a sal forest around that place. There was a reserved forest.He said that the reserve forests mostly consisted of Sal trees.
