The order that comes from Berlin caused a great silence every where in the school that day .It did upset all the students, the elder villagers and M. Hamel most .From other next day on wards the students will be taught only in German language and that too by a new teacher. It was their last day with M. Hamel teaching them the last lesson in France language.The village elders their for had come to thank M. Hamel for his faithful service for forty long years.
