Thus, The resistance for the entire circuit (R) = `12/9` Ω = `4/3` Ω

`\because` R = `4/3`
`4/3` = `\frac{"4R"_{2}}{"4+R"_{2}}`
16 + `"4R"_{2}` = `"12R"_{2}`
`"8R"_{2}` = 16
`"R"_{2}` = `16/8`
`"R"_{2}` = 2
`\therefore` `"R"_{2}` = 2Ω
