Which Elements would React together to form Covalent Compounds | Bzziii.com

The diagram below shows part of the periodic table.

01. Which elements would react together to form covalent compounds?
02. Between the two elements W and Z, which will have a bigger atomic radius? Why?

Element Y and Z React together to form Covalent Compounds. Because Element Y has 6 Valence electronic in outermost shell and so it needs to gain 2 more electron to form compounds and Element Z has 7 Valence electronic in outermost shell and so it needs to gain 1 electron to stable. Thus Element Y and Z both want to gain electrons, they can share electrons with others to form covalent bonds.

For your better Understanding here is the Periodic table chart

Between the two elements W and Z, W is the atomic radius that is bigger than Z, because W has more number of shells, Thus it have more numbers of atomic radius.
