Describe any three institutional reforms taken by the Indian government in the field of agriculture.



 





The technological and institutional reforms made in the field of agriculture are:
  1. Collectivization, consolidation of holdings, cooperation and abolition of zamindari.
  2. Green Revolution and White Revolution.
  3. Provision for crop insurance against drought, flood, cyclone, etc., the establishment of Grameen banks, Cooperative societies and banks for providing loans.
  4. Special weather bulletins and agricultural programmes for farmers on radio and TV.
  5. Issuing of Kisan Credit Card and Personal Accident Insurance Scheme, etc. (Any three)
